What is a cookie?
A 'cookie' is a small piece of data that a website can store on the visitor's device, in the memory allocated to the browser (the application used to visit the web page, e.g. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer). Browsers also provide websites with other technologies that allow data to be stored in a similar way, in this document we will refer to all these technologies using the term 'cookie'.
Why do we use cookies?
Cookies are necessary for the technical functionality, security, and optimisation of our site, and they can also be used for marketing purposes. They may vary in number, name, and content, depending on the page you are on and the updates made to the site over time. The reasons we use them are as follows:
a. Shopping cart and order placement
When you add a product to the shopping cart, this information is stored as a cookie.
Viewing the shopping cart and placing the order is only possible when we can use cookies to determine which products you have added to the cart.
b. Authentication and useful functions
We use cookies to determine when a user is authenticated in order to provide access to various useful additional features.
Examples of such features include viewing order history, saving favourite products, and remembering the delivery address.
c. Security and integrity
Cookies help us ensure the security and integrity of personal accounts, data, and the platform.
For example, cookies can help us detect when someone is trying to guess the password of an account they do not have access to.
d. Ads and recommendations
We use cookies to display personalised recommendations to our online store customers based on the products they have shown interest in.
For example, when you view a product and we display a selection of products on the page that might interest you, we can use cookies to personalise the selection based on previously viewed products.
When we launch products, campaigns or discounts, we communicate this to customers and visitors interested in our products by purchasing advertising space on various online platforms. If you are a member of such a platform through which we communicate with our customers, it may use cookies to associate the pages visited on our site with your account. This allows us to display recommendations that are as relevant as possible to you and to avoid displaying them when you are already aware of the communicated news.
For example, when we launch a new product, we will communicate this on other platforms to users who have not accessed our store recently but have shown interest in similar products in the past. Examples of such platforms are Google and Facebook.
e. Statistics, analysis and improvements
Cookies help us better understand how the store is used by visitors and improve it.
They help us, for example, to understand how people use our services, to analyse which elements are more useful to them and to identify the elements that can be improved, so that your experience on our site is as pleasant as possible.
How can you disable cookies?
Disabling cookies limits your experience in our online store. If you choose to completely disable cookies, you will not be able to use basic functionalities such as the shopping cart or account access. Disabling analytical cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Piwik) may slow down our technicians' response time in case of issues or functionality errors. If you choose to disable online advertising providers' cookies (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads) you will continue to receive advertising on their networks, but it will be less relevant to you, as it will not be tailored to your preferences.
Modern browsers offer the possibility to reject cookies entirely or partially. This can usually be managed in the 'options' or 'preferences' section of your browser. In the 'Useful links'you can find links to cookie management instructions for current browsers.Privacy policy
We pay special attention to the protection of your personal data. When the processing of personal data is necessary, we comply with the principles mentioned in our privacy policy, which is in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) No. 679/2016 – GDPR.
We emphasise that we process all data in compliance with GDPR obligations, securely, responsibly, and limited according to the purpose and legal basis of the processing.
We also secure all data transfers using the latest encryption technologies, especially in relation to visitors, customers, and external service providers.
